Easy Card Tricks - Basic Techniques

Performing easy card tricks does not imply delivering poor quality tricks. There are many cool easy card tricks that are professional level and can be taught to anyone to an excellent standard in just a few minutes. I would like to share with you techniques you will need to learn to perform in your own routines.

Easy card tricks that even the pros such as David Blaine use are called 'Self Working'. These tricks do not require any slight of hand or specialist techniques. Instead they rely upon a set sequence of mechanical moves that literally anyone can perform. This article does not deal with these tricks although they are the recommended starting point for anyone learning card magic.

At the next level, some so called 'card control' techniques are used. Using these techniques almost all card tricks you have ever seen can be performed. There are multiple versions of these techniques. The list below outlines the five basic 'card control' techniques:

1. Forcing a specific card on the picker
2. Shuffling the deck while keeping the chosen card to the top
3. A fake cut (pretending to cut the cards while returning them to the exact same position)
4. A double lift (lifting the 'top' card and then showing the audience the second cards face)
5. A palm (hiding a card from view in the palm of your hand)

Any good book on card magic will teach you the techniques to peform these easy card tricks. This is how I had to learn magic many years ago. However, observing magic through one on one tuition with an expert is undoubtedly the fastest and most effective way to learn.

There are some good sources of such materials available now. If you are interested in learning more about these techniques [http://www.easycardtricks.biz]Click Here.
