Let’s get one thing straight: I love magic. Part of the beauty of a great magic trick is in the not knowing, the willingness to accept the illusion, the joy of being fooled. This is why new inductees to the ‘Magic Circle’ (international magicians’ guild) swear solemn oaths of secrecy, vowing never to share the details of their illusions with the world. However, I don’t rank among their number, and while I enjoy being deceived I also get a kick out of appreciating the skill and craftsmanship that goes into such iconic stunts as metamorphosis, bullet-catching and levitation. How to Do the Best Card Trick in the World

The best card trick in the world is actually quite simple to perform. It get a really good reaction, however, because of the great twist at the end.

Card Trick Performance

Your spectator selects a card and replaces it back in the deck. The deck is then fanned through and their chosen card has revealed itself by its back changing color. Their card is then placed on the table and a second card is selected. Once more it is returned to the deck, only this time it fails to reveal itself. In a strange twist of fate you pick up the card on the table and it somehow has changed into their second selection!

Card Trick Secret

To make things easier, we'll say you're using a blue-backed deck. Before the trick place a card with a different colored back (we'll say red) at the bottom of the deck. Directly above it place the same card with the blue back.

Have your spectator select any card. Then put it on top of the deck and cut the deck. Say a magic word. Fan through the cards and cut to the red card (so it's on top). The spectator's card should be directly below it. Do a double lift (turn two cards over as one - just practice, it's not that hard) and show that the chosen card's back has changed color. Return the two cards to the top of the deck and deal off the red card onto the table.

Force your spectator to pick the bottom card. This can easily be done with a Hindu shuffle (hold the deck in one hand and peel piles of cards off the top using your other, effectively leaving the bottom card intact). Ask the spectator to tell you when to stop. When they do, simply show them the bottom card and tell them it's their second selection. Cut the deck and run through it. When a red card does not appear act surprised. Then say how there is one red card, on the table that it is, and flip it over to reveal the grand transformation finale, as the red-backed card is now their card! Learn Amazing Card Tricks in Just Minutes - Do As I Do

Many people are looking for some cool card tricks to perform, but finally ending up with some difficult card tricks that required some advance techniques that they can't keep up.

Just don't give up. I have an easy card trick to teach you and I am sure that after you finish reading this article, you are ready to perform this trick within minutes of practicing.

Time to learn card trick, now. It's called : Do As I Do

To perform this trick, Two decks of card will be needed. It will be better if these two decks have different color of the back. But if not, there will be no problem.

First, you tell your spectator that you will use two decks of card. Then, you have him select one deck that he prefer to use and you will take the other one (it doesn't matter which deck he prefer.)

You then say: "This is an experiment in observation. I want you to watch me very closely. See if you can follow my every move. Do as I do."

Shuffle your cards. Allow the spectator to shuffle his in the same manner. Cut your deck in half and replace the cut. Make sure the spectator does the same.

Now, riffle the edges of the cards with your thumb, merely to make some noise. Your spectator should follow this. Then, turn your deck face up and face down again in your hand. The spectator will repeat this action.

Now come to the most important part. While your spectator is following your action by turning his deck face up and then face down on his hand like you did, you must secretly take a look at the bottom card of his deck. This is your key, so remember it.

Then, you tell your spectator to take one card out of his deck, remember that card, and place it on top of his deck. You also do the same thing, but you don't have to pay attention to the card you take out.

Now, the spectator's card is on top of his deck. You ask him to cut the deck in half and complete the cut so the selected card is in the middle. You do the same.

After he has done this, request that you would like to exchange the decks. You tell him to find his selected card in your deck, and you will find your card in his pack. When he find his card, have him put it face down on the table.

Then, you run through your cards (his pack) pretend to look for your selected card, but actually, you are looking for the key card you saw on the bottom of his deck earlier. His selected card is directly under, or to the right of the key card. You remove his selected card out of the deck and place it face down on the table. Your spectator should do the same and put his card on the table, face down.

You then say: "You have been doing everything I have done exactly the same way. Isn't it logical that if we both did the same things, we also selected the same cards? Not really, it would be more than a coincidence if that happened, wouldn't it? We won't call it coincidence. I call it magic!"

Turn both cards face up (which will be the same card), see your spectator's reaction and take your bow.
